Meet James Martin Associates' Award Winning Team

Jim Martin has served as President of James Martin Associates, Inc (JMA) since the company’s founding in 1977. Currently, Jim is actively involved in business growth and strategic direction; selection and development of current and future associates; JMA’s immersion in waste elimination through lean management and continuous process improvement; and the company’s commitment to and involvement with charitable and community philanthropy.

Jim is a third generation family member from the Chicago region and father of three exceptional daughters. Jim's interests include global wild-water river rafting, gardening, tennis, travel, and continuous learning.

Tom, a highly experienced Landscape Architect with a BLA from Iowa State University since 1987, has dedicated his entire career to James Martin Associates. With an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 2011, he rose through the ranks to become General Manager. Tom has successfully led million-dollar residential projects, earning over 30 state and national landscape awards. Since 2007, he has expanded the commercial maintenance and snow sectors and holds CLP and CSP certifications. Beyond work, Tom enjoys golf and skiing. Tom is also a devoted Chicago sports fan.

Heidi Sibert manages the Landscape Design and Construction team for JMA. Heidi actively manages her lifelong clients and brings life to each new clients’ dreams for their landscape. The project management team and construction crews rely on Heidi’s expertise to guide and execute a creatively designed, well planned, successful project.

Marc was hired in 2017 and has been a great addition to the Commercial Maintenance and Snow Operations teams. Marc works closely with GM Tom Bolas, overseeing all commercial sites and crews. His responsibilities include site inspections, scheduling, supervision at sites and communication with clients. During the winter Marc will have a similar role with our commercial snow clients.

Marc comes to JMA with a lifelong history in the landscape/green industry, even working for his dad’s golf course construction business as a kid. He lives in Hawthorn Woods with his wife and four kids who are all active in sports and other school activities.

Aaron Schlines, a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is a licensed Landscape Architect with over 25 years of professional experience in the residential design/build industry. His knowledge of regional horticulture and hardscape materials paired with his thoughtful and sophisticated design style lead to designs that are appropriate and timeless.

Always striving to exceed his customer’s expectations, Aaron’s recipe for success involves listening, and coming up with creative, efficient solutions. He builds life-long relationships with his clientele through exceptional communication, creativity, and a desire to excel.

Danica Rollhauser joined JMA in 2020 as a Senior Bookkeeper. She previously was a Plant Accountant, for 14 years, at a global plastics manufacturing company in Lake Zurich, IL.  Danica strives for efficiency and accuracy, resulting in integral financial reporting.

Danica was born in Chicago and now resides in Fox Lake with her husband Joe. Interests outside of crunching numbers are spending time with family, outdoor activities, watching golf, reading, and crocheting.

Mike has worked in the Green Industry for over 35 years, having grown up in his family’s design/build/maintenance landscape business. Graduating from North Central College with a degree in Business Management, he stayed in this industry, eventually owning his own business for 16 years. As James Martin Associates' Director of Client Relations he enjoys utilizing his experiences in helping his clients achieve their Landscape goals.

Chicago born and raised, Mike and his wife, Kimberly, enjoy many activities with their 3 children, including attending their sporting events or family get-togethers.  Other passions include cooking, most any outdoor activity, and rooting on Chicago’s professional sporting teams.

Alex joined the team in 2021 as a Management Associate. In that time, he has worked extensively with our Commercial and Residential Maintenance Teams and with Snow Operations. Alex comes to us with a successful background in sales and account management. He holds a B.A. from the University of Kentucky and a Certificate in Landscape Construction and Maintenance from the College of Lake County.

Born and raised in Kentucky, Alex currently resides in Deerfield with his wife, daughter, and son. He is an avid sports fan (Go Big Blue!), enjoys spending time outdoors, and traveling.
