Potting Parties: A Unique Way of Using Our Expertise
Over the span of 20 years, James Martin Associates and partner company L.I.D. Landscapes in Boulder, CO, have donated over 120 potting parties to local charities and organizations.
These potting parties are used to raise funds at the nonprofits’ silent auctions. Valued at $600 each, they include lunch, a guided tour of company grounds, a container with plants, and gardening techniques taught by a landscape professional.
Partner Appreciation Parties: Coming Together to Support the Community
Each year, James Martin Associates hosts a Partner Appreciation party that raises funds for local and national nonprofits. The grand prize is awarded through a raffle drawing in which the winner chooses the organization to receive the night’s donations.
With the help of our partners, we have raised $42,000 to date for charities like the American Cancer Society and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Scholarships: Education for the Next Generation
Scholarships are the lifeblood of the educational system. James Martin Associates contributes to the education next generation of landscape professionals with scholarships that help minimize the high cost of college tuition.
Annually James Martin Associates awards selected students and children of our team members with scholarships. This also helps attract high-quality individuals to the landscape profession. For many, once they are exposed to this line of work, they stay in the industry for much of their career.
Kids Against Hunger
In previous years, JMA Senior Vice President and Landscape Architect Heidi Sibert has chaired an annual food packing event supporting Kids Against Hunger in conjunction with Winnetka/Northfield the Rotary Club, the Volunteer Center in Winnetka, and the Winnetka Community House.
Last year, individuals and groups packed over 100,000 meals and raised $30,000.
Gratitude Giving Survey: Honoring our Clients Through Charitable Donations
Since 2006, James Martin Associates has proudly given back to the community through their annual Gratitude Giving Survey. Each holiday season, they invite their loyal clients to choose from a list of charities, making donations in their name to the top selections. This tradition honors and supports the charitable organizations that are important to their clients.
To date, we have contributed over $50,000 to charitable causes close to our customers' hearts and look forward to continue this tradition of giving for years to come.
